I believe that photographs, like all art, should create emotion within the viewer, creating a point of interest or discussion, eliciting a sense of nostalgia or the feeling that one can step through the frame and into the scene of the photograph itself – and this is never more important than on the day of your wedding!
Being a wedding photographer, to me, means becoming part of your family for a day – I’ll help you plan, learn your story and remind you to take a deep breath when it all gets a little crazy, all while capturing your day as it unfolds.
I adore elopements, and if you’re planning to get married somewhere further away I’d love to travel there with you (check my current travel dates here!).
If you’re celebrating an anniversary, you met in Australia and want a memento of the town where you fell in love, or if you just got engaged and want some beautiful portraits together before the wedding planning madness sets in, then let me know!
We can hang out where you had your first kiss, the place you most like to spend time together, or wherever else takes your fancy - and it can be as laidback or as formal as you'd like!
When it comes to taking photographs, portraiture will always be my first love. I would like nothing more than to spend a few hours with you or your family, taking photos as time unfolds at your home, favourite beach, café or park, or wherever else you like to spend time together.
Just send through an email & we’ll set up a time!
My love of travel stems from a passion for social justice and a curiosity about languages and culture. I believe that there is so much to learn from travel and am keen to explore off the beaten track and outside the usual tourist destinations, monuments and museums of note... although I often find there is a reason these places are so well known.
I adore doing work that combines my love for photography & writing, whilst incorporating food, coffee, teaching, community, social entrepreneurship and the promotion of ethical production & consumption.
As a strong believer in doing what you love and people chasing their dreams, I thoroughly enjoy working with entrepreneurs and small businesses to help capture their craft, shopfront or workspace.
If this sounds like you, or you just need some snaps of you doing what you do best to get things off the ground, then drop me a line and let’s set something up over coffee. I’d love to hear your story and help promote your vision.
From the first time my parents let me take a photograph using my Mum’s old Pentax K1000 I was hooked. This is the medium that I truly began to take photos with, and it’s a medium that I’m still so passionate about. If you too prefer that beautiful filmic quality, just let me know; I’d be more than happy to take your photos using that very same K1000 that moved me to take photos in the first place.
